Every monitored security system needs to have an Alarm Response Plan to provide you with an immediate, quick, efficient and effective response whenever an alarm event is triggered. Every Alarm Response Plan is customized for each client and is your  personal directive as to how you would like our central monitoring station to respond to a triggered event. The purpose of the Alarm Response Plan is to Verify the Event and dispatch the appropriate authorities if required.

Key Holder Call List:
If an alarm signal is triggered the Monitoring Station will call the premises first in an attempt to verify the alarm event unless otherwise specified.  If no answer at the premises then the persons listed on the Key Holder Call List will be called in preferential order.

The persons on the Call List must have keys to your home or business and a code to arm and disarm the alarm.

Response Options:
After an alarm is trigger and a Key Holder is contacted he or she will be asked for their Name and Password.  If the person does not know or have a password then the call will be terminated and the response to the alarm will elevated to the next person on the call list or authorities dispatched immediately.

Once the monitoring station operator establishes contact with a verified Key Holder the monitoring station will ask for directions as to how to proceed with the alarm?

Give the monitoring station clear direction as to what you would like them to do …

It’s Your Alarm so you get to decide the appropriate response.

Most alarms are handled as follows:

1 – I (Key Holder) will handle the alarm – no need to dispatch anyone or contact the authorities
a) Dismiss the alarm and call me back if another alarm is triggered
b) I will go to the location and verify the alarm and call you back to confirm or dismiss

2 – I (Key Holder) cannot handle this alarm – Please call someone else on the Call List.

3 – Please dispatch the Guard Response (optional service) or AUTHORITIES and contact me once they are on site if there is a problem

4 – Please dispatch the Guard Response (optional service) or AUTHORITIES and I will meet them on site.

A current, up to date Key Holder Call List and Alarm Response Plan can reduce false alarm dispatches by as much as 95%.

When an alarm occurs decisions must be made by you Immediately, being aware of your options and having an up to date Key Holder Call List expedites the alarm process and emergency response if required.

We recommend you review your Alarm Response Plan annually and after every Alarm occurrence if applicable. Our goal is to provide you with a quick, efficient and effective response to any alarm event and your safety and security is our utmost concern.
